Just-A-Meeple Βut … Ghostface
EXCLUSIVE! A Ghostface Meeple has left out of its box. Caution! Do not walk with bare feet on the carpet!
Ghostface is one of the most iconic and recognizable killers in horror movie history. His name comes from the distinctive mask he wears, resembling a screaming ghost, inspired by Edvard Munch’s painting “The Scream.” Ghostface first appeared in the 1996 film “Scream”, directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson.
What makes Ghostface unique is that he isn’t just one killer; each time, different individuals take on the persona to commit murders. This twist adds an element of mystery, as both the characters and the audience try to uncover the true identity of the killer.
The “Scream” movie stood out because it combined horror with a meta-commentary on the clichés of slasher films, making Ghostface and his story even more engaging. His use of the phone to terrorize his victims, asking them questions about horror movies, is another feature that has left a lasting mark on cinema. Ghostface’s influence endures to this day, with numerous sequels and references in pop culture, solidifying his place as a horror icon.
